If you are still using a copy of the 2007 Sunlight Supply catalog consider updating to the newer 2008-2009 edition. It's been available for some time now but we finally received the most recent edition and felt it was worth passing the word along. These catalogs make a snappy reference for prices and an excellent starting point for brainstorming DIY projects. For that reason they are very helpful to have around, even if you never order a single product. Copies should be available at most hydroponic stores or you can request one directly from the Sunlight Supply website. |

G.Low, author of Integral Hydroponics, has informed me that his book has been effectively discontinued. This comes not long after the third edition was published during 2007. Integral Hydroponics was a how-to guide for beginner and intermediate level hydroponic gardeners with much of it's information specific to the challenges faced by individuals from Australia. While I can only attest to the content found in the second edition, the fact Integral Hydroponics was written specifically for Australians was arguably it's most unique and likable feature.

Though this is far from the type of late-breaking news that bilberybrian.com would ideally deliver it remains to our best knowledge unreported, so a short writeup could still considered fair game. General Hydroponic's partnership with the BioBizz has ended. Did this happen within the past week or month? Well, not exactly... |

Paul Stamets will be hosting another mushroom cultivation seminar November 1-2 in Washington State. His September seminar is already sold out so if you have been hoping to attend one of his mushroom cultivation seminars this is the last opportunity for the 2008 calendar year. Tuition is $700 and registration information is available on his company's website Fungi Perfecti. There is also a Stamets seminar June 7-8 that will be addressing the application of mushrooms for repairing or restoring ecologically damaged habitats. Stamets calls this process Mycoresotration and enrollment for this seminar requires attendance of a prior Stamets seminar. Tuition is $750 and information about registration can be found at the bottom of the seminar page at Fungi Perfecti. |
